Student Debt USA was founded by Pat. As a young professional, Pat was watching his generation accumulate all of this student loan debt. “The cost of tuition is rising while the number of jobs are decreasing and yet there is so much pressure on our generation to receive a diploma.

As a result, Student Debt USA seeks to encourage people of any socioeconomic background, who have a genuine interest in learning, to attend college. Student Debt USA has endowed a one-year, $1,000 annual scholarship.

We encourage any student to apply for our annual scholarship opportunity detailed below. All students are eligible to apply.

Who’s eligible:

Any student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at any time during calendar year 2014 at any accredited American college, university or trade school.

What:

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded for the best submitted answer to the question below.

When:

Submission deadline is December 15, 2014.

Awards:

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded; this money can be used toward tuition or books.  The scholarship must be paid directly to your institution.

How do I apply?

Submit your essay, 1,000-word minimum, on the topic below. One exceptional essay on the topic will be chosen and published on the Student Debt USA website.  Essays submitted with videos will be more likely to win! Please email your essay to social@studentdebtusa.com or submit it in the form above.

Winner(s) will be confirmed ONLY after providing proof of enrollment in the form of a copy of a tuition bill OR letter of proof from the accredited United States college or university at which the winner(s) is enrolled. Upon confirmation of enrollment, winners will be publicly announced on Studentdebtusa.com, and IGS will mail the winner(s) their check.
